The Jewish Historical Society of Memphis and the Mid-South includes within its collection in the Temple Israel Archives information about the smaller communities in the region.  Many Memphis families once lived in these communities, and in some cases, still have a Jewish presence there.

Our focus on the “Mid-South” includes the following communities in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee.
